Abitibiwinni, l'expérience algonquine

Présentation

For countless years now, Pikogan and other Algonquin communities have engaged in dialogue and sharing among themselves and with other nations. Let us show you how we collect and pass down our knowledge, our beliefs and our love of the land. An exhibit brings to life the history of the Pikogan Abitibiwinni through prolific as well as troubled times. The millennial occupation of a vast territory has left marks still visible in Pikogan. Other interesting visits include the tipishaped community church and the Aboriginal crafts shop. The Pikogan Church is member of the Réseau muséal de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue: reseaumuseal-at.ca.
