Église orthodoxe russe, Rouyn-Noranda
Présentation
Treat yourself to the rewarding experience of a guided tour of this historic commemorative site built in 1955 with quite an unusual architecture in its urban setting. You will discover the fabulous legacy of another era and the rites of the Russian Orthodox religion. In the Immigration Interpretation Center, located in the basement, you will learn how Rouyn-Noranda has grown richer through the contribution of immigrants, mostly from Europe. A historic 12 minute video introduces the men and women who helped build the city and who richly shaped its economic, cultural and social life.
