Grotte Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes

Présentation

This grotto, situated at the eastern end of rue Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, was set up in 1904 to the likeness of the one in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, France. It is regionally known as a place of pilgrimage and in mid-August of each year, over 700 pilgrims flock here to join in the celebrations. Atop the belvedere, you get a stunning view of the town and Lake Témiscamingue. A short walk away, an interpretive path lets you appreciate the flora of Témiscamingue and leads you to an inviting picnic area.
