Le T.E. Draper/Chantier de Gédéon
Présentation
From 1929 to 1972, the T. E. Draper was the most important tugboat used for wood floating, in service on des Quinze Lake for the Canadian International Paper (C.I.P.) Co. It was classified cultural-heritage property in 1979. You are invited to relive témiscamingue’s wood-floating era. Come see the new exhibition at the T.E. Draper hangar and follow your guide attendant after you get aboard the tugboat. Then, proceed to Chantier Gédéon to discover the historical representation of a logging camp of the 1930’s to the 1940’s and its many buildings: office, cookery, jobber camp, sleep camp and stable.
