Les Serres coopératives de Guyenne
Présentation
The Serres coopératives de Guyenne came to be in 1980 as a relaunch project for this village, which was near closing in the ‘70s. At first, this co-op produced black spruce and gray pine seedlings, but now it is renowned for its tomato production. It must be emphasized that this company uses cutting-edge technology, which makes it one of the most modern of its type in the world. In fact, the Serres (greenhouses) are experimenting with new productions such as potted flowers and seedlings for other agricultural producers. Because of the area it covers, this co-op ranks among the top five greenhouse companies in Québec.
