Présentation

Designated National Historic Site of Canada, the Dispensaire de la Garde de La Corne will immediately wisk you back to the time of colony nurses. You will discover more specifically the life of Gertrude Duchemin who, for 40 years, was a nurse,midwife, administrator and sometimes veterinary.Moreover, you will get added information on the opening of dispensaries, the social role, professional and personal life of the nurses and the evolution of Québec's health system. The multimedia environment, furniture, various medical instruments and the many archived documents set it apart as a unique place in Québec and even Canada.

Schedule

Guided tours: June 23 thru August 26 and September 1, 2 and 3, daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The rest of the year, upon reservation for groups of 8 or more.
