American Snowmobiler delighted with our hospitality

30 March 2009

From March 10 to 15, Bob Island and his colleagues of the American Snowmobiler Magazine traveled our trails after accepting an invitation extended at the October 2008 Novi Show.

The group followed the trails over a distance of several hundreds kilometers from Duhamel-Ouest to Rouyn-Noranda, La Sarre, Amos and Val-d'Or. Representatives of snowmobile clubs spent some enjoyable time talking with them. Mr. Island and his team made a stop at the Refuge Pageau, a major regional attraction accessible via our trails, and appreciated seeing a few specimens of our local wildlife populations at close range.

Mr. Island, absolutely delighted with our hospitality, sent us extremely positive comments with the promise of a very interesting feature article on Abitibi-Témiscamingue next fall.

Roughly 55,000 readers buy a copy of the American Snowmobiler. Most magazines are sold in the Eastern and Midwestern States. It is produced in Wisconsin, which ranks third among U.S. States in reporting the highest number of snowmobilers.
