All has been done and thought out to offer you an eye-opening program. This 9th Festival de la relève indépendante musicale en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (FRIMAT) will be held July 31 thru August 3 this year. During the event, festival-goers will discover renowned artists and also others from here thanks to the Vitrine de la relève.
This year, it is with the utmost pleasure that the organization will present artists that have made their place on the Quebec scene, namely the exceptional Karim Ouellet, Dany Placard, Koriass, Pawa Up First, Peter Peter , Gazoline, Le Carabine, Phonomen and LCDN.
‘’Without a prime venue for aspiring artists, the FRIMAT would not hold all of its meaning. This edition is promising in terms of groups and solo artists from the region’s pool of rising artists. Metal, rock, folk and rap reflect the variety of musical choices offered by the artists this year.’’said the president of the Festival, Benjamin Turcotte. The finalists of the aspiring artists, 6 finalists are from here, are Guillaume Rivard, JetSet Radio, Mathew James, Guillaume Trottier, LUBIK and Transcendance.
Let us also note the participation of Massy Émond, Marcie and the DJs Masqués.
