Supertrax International ranks Abitibi-Témiscamingue in first position on its chart of greatest snowmobile rides in the last issue of Ride Guide, thus maintaining a status acquired last year. In an article entitled 8 GREAT RIDES, Supertrax lists this winter’s top eight snowmobiling destinations in North America. Our region is ahead of Cattaraugus, New York State, and Haliburton, Ontario.

Journalist Harold McAdam confessed that he felt at a loss for words to describe the quality of our facilities "I can’t say enough about the hospitality and food available throughout Abitibi-Témiscamingue and the Baie-James region. Even the most modest of places are clean, comfortable and welcome traveling snowmobilers with open arms". Wherever he went, he found "a grooming discipline that is nothing short of exceptional" He was also impressed with the "abundance of wildlife, great snowmobiling trails and plenty of snow even late in the season".

At the dawn of the new season, the region keeps receiving honors. Lately, the readers of American Snowmobiler placed Abitibi-Témiscamingue among top snowmobiling destinations in Gateway Guide 2011. Ranked # 5, it is the only Canadian destination besides Revelstoke, B.C., which ranks # 10.
