Tourisme Amos-Harricana kicks off its summer tourist season!

New promotional bus, tourist brochure and stand… Tourisme Amos-Harricana spares no efforts to encourage tourists to visit the region.

The promotional tools of Tourisme Amos-Harricana’s 2011 summer campaign were unveiled in the beautiful setting of a miniature horse-breeding farm in Amos, Domaine des Rêves. The presentation of the bus proudly wearing the colors of MRC Abitibi was the highlight of the event.

The bus features images of some of Amos’ famous attractions: Refuge Pageau; Abitibiwinni, l’expérience algonquine; Cathedral Ste-Thérèse d’Avila; Festival H2O; Kodiak basketball team; and Forestiers hockey team.

This bus is dedicated to intercity transportation. It will travel on a regular basis to Montreal, but will also make chartered trips across Quebec and Ontario. Pierre Maheux, President of Autobus Maheux, was proud to announce that the bus will travel 250,000 km per year and will be seen by thousands if not millions of people!

New brochure

The tourists and the residents of the region will be guided appropriately by the descriptions of Amos-Harricana tourist attractions in the 2011 edition of this bilingual brochure. Published in 25,000 copies, the brochure will be available at Maison du tourisme, at every tourist information office in the region, and at tourist offices and organizations outside the region. Copies will be offered to the residents of the MRC.

To make sure that the brochure is prominently displayed at conventions and fairs, Tourisme Amos-Harricana has designed an eye-catching Spectra Light stand featuring the 18 tourist attractions of the region.
