Access and Transport

There are two main routes to get to Abitibi-Témiscamingue from the southern regions of Quebec. Whether travelling from south or west, you will discover the many faces of an ever-smiling region.

To access the region on your snowmobile, many options are possible :

Abitibi-Témiscamingue is accessible from its neighbouring regions (Outaouais, the Laurentians, Mauricie, Lanaudière and Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean) via the Trans-Quebec snowmobile trail network. From Ontario, it is possible to access Témiscaming, Notre-Dame-du-Nord and Rouyn-Noranda (Arntfield) without getting off the trails. To get to the south entrance of Abitibi-Témiscamingue arriving from Toronto, follow Hwy 11 and 63 North over a distance of 400 km.
