Favourites and Discoveries from Amos-Harricana

Sitting in the sand, on top of an esker, or chilling out on a bench, near an art fountain, while listening to the lulling sound of the water.

Pausing for a moment of silence, drawn to the beautiful stained-glass windows of a magnificent Roman-Byzantine cathedral.

Immersing into the boreal forest to observe wildlife in their natural environment.

Letting people tell their stories and turn their dreams into audacious projects. Watching them, utterly fascinated, create wealth with their hands.

Getting together to celebrate life and enjoy activities on the Harricana River.

Anisipi

ANISIPI (which means pure water, life source, in Algonquin) is a activity circuit to discover water. A touristic activity that highlights the natural and cultural heritage of Amos-Harricana, a vast territory marked by the thousand-year-old history of the Anicicape people. It offers a plethora of activities related to the blue gold. Four immersive environment zones created by Moment Factory will educate, surprise, and touch visitors of all ages and all types. Scheduled to open mid-July 2022.

Refuge Pageau

The story that will unfold as you follow the wooden trail began more than 30 years ago. It is the story of the Pageau family and their incredible relationship with animals. Refuge Pageau gives shelter to injured, sick or orphaned wildlife, provides them care and when possible returns them to the wild. You will see moose, wolves, white-tail deer, racoons, prey birds and many small orphans making short or long stays at the Refuge.

In addition to fresh milk in glass bottles, curd and block cheese, and farm yoghurt, the shop offers a wide range of regional products such as honey, jam, spices, oil and craft items. The staff is always pleased to welcome visitors. Let them share their passion to you!
